What makes Peoria IL a great place to live?

For those of us who have lived here all our lives, we probably don't even realize all the fun things there are to do in the Peoria area - we just take them for granted.

Like how about Wildlife Prairie State Park for example? They just recently celebrated their first 30 years of existence - but have you been out to the park lately? There's always lots to do and they have special events for the kids throughout their season.

There's also the Spirit of Peoria - not every city has their own steamboat. They have several different kinds of excursions - some overnight, some featuring old fashioned riverboat entertainment and all feature a great view of the river and it's surroundings.

Speaking of the river's surroundings, one of the Peoria area's most famous unique site is Grand View Drive. All the natives know it's a spectauclar site - particularly in the fall - but how often do you visit to take a walk or bike ride or just sit on a park bench enjoying the view? It's free too!
